The Old Field Lighthouse, built in 1869, stands proudly on a bluff above the Long Island Sound, just west of Port Jefferson, NY. This stone lighthouse once guided countless ships along the busy waters of the Sound with its steady beacon. Decommissioned in the 20th century, it now serves as the Village of Old Field’s justice court. A preserved piece of maritime history, the lighthouse remains a striking reminder of Long Island’s seafaring past
