Spring Awakens and New Photographic Possibilities

Spring is here. After months of quiet and gray, everything is beginning to awaken once again. Trees are starting to bud, the first hints of green are returning, and before long the landscape will be filled with color. I’m looking forward to getting back out with the camera and capturing that emergence of life and color once again.

Another area I want to explore this season is lightning photography. There is something fascinating about trying to capture the brief, powerful energy of a storm. April showers bring May flowers, as they say, so perhaps along the way I’ll have a few opportunities to photograph both.
