🍂 The Art of Autumn — Finding Beauty in the Changing Seasons

By Rod Richardson Photography

Each season has its own rhythm, but there’s something about autumn that always pulls me back behind the camera. The way sunlight filters through changing leaves, the quiet stillness of the air, and that unmistakable golden glow — it’s a season that feels both fleeting and timeless.

Many of my photographs were captured here on Long Island, where the transition from summer to fall paints the landscape in warm, vibrant tones. Whether it’s the last light over the Suffolk County shoreline, a quiet trail after the rain, or reflections dancing across still water, I try to capture moments that remind us to slow down and notice what’s right in front of us.

While I don’t keep a dedicated “autumn” category, you’ll find that many of my fine art prints carry the colors and atmosphere of the season — rich with warmth, light, and a sense of calm. Each image is professionally photographed, signed, and available in Limited Edition and Open Edition formats.

These pieces bring a touch of nature’s artistry indoors — perfect for anyone who loves the feeling of fall and the beauty of Long Island’s landscapes.
