Artist Reception Reflections
Yesterday afternoon was the artist reception for my first public exhibit, and I’m still carrying the excitement of it all.
Thank you to everyone who came down, spent time with the work, shared kind words, and took part in the afternoon. One of the best parts of the reception was getting the chance to talk with so many people—to hear what drew you to certain photographs, what they reminded you of, and which pieces spoke to you most.
I’m especially grateful that so many prints will now be going to new homes. There’s something incredibly meaningful about knowing these images will continue on beyond the exhibit and become part of someone else’s space and story.
Thank you as well to the library for welcoming my work and making this exhibit possible. Having the opportunity to share these photographs in such a beautiful and welcoming space has meant more to me than I can say.
The exhibit will come down on Tuesday, but the exhibit pricing will continue through next week for anyone who may not have been able to attend or is still thinking about a piece.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make this experience so memorable. This has been an exciting, humbling, and encouraging beginning—and I’m looking forward to what comes next.
